Design Four Process Book | HANG

This process book is the culmination of an entire semester of work based on a space above the lockers in the Fine Arts building at UConn. The front is a thin paper that, when pushed together, reveals the word, "Hang," which was the theme of my semester. For this project I created my own square typeface and hung 2 separate projects in the area above the lockers. The first installation was a series of letters (in my typeface) that hung down and spelled out the words, "I am coming soon." For the second installation, I created giant, fake, paper walls that had typography from other signage on campus, cut out of them. The paper walls were 7 feet tall by 52 feet wide. The sheets
of paper were overlapped at the seams and when backlit, gave the illusion of cinder block walls
and grout.
